Two huge sheets of washi with a total length of 24 meters were first made before being joined together at one section only. Kozo bush stems were embedded and by applying the restoration technique, a single stem was used to join the sheets together, making the seam barely visible. For the entrances on the 1st and 2nd floors, the two works were produced under the themes of “wave motion” and “wave light” with a wish that exchanges between person and person, era and era, and place and place will grow to become a great wave and spread ever outward.
