HORIKI ERIKO

This interior design incorporated a “displaying space” in the entrance and Japanese-style space. The underlying theme is the wish that while living in this Kyoto home, the owners cherish the beauty of the Japanese craftsmanship, and spend precious time reflecting on this beautiful manifestation of the Japanese mind and spirit. The washi pattern of the SHOJI screens in the living and dining rooms was designed to harmonize with the frames and create light screens with a modern impression; below the screens, a storage space was incorporated.
