BRIEF PERSONAL HISTORY
1962 Born in Kyoto, Japan.
1987 Established "SHIMUS."
The name "SHIMUS" originates from WASHI (Japanese paper) + MUSUBU (to link/connect/bring together).
Naming symbolizes the wish of the group to link paper with different materials, to connect it with lighting, and to use it as a medium for bringing people together.
